Ten Talent’s Ministry was formed with the goal of providing faith-based meetings and community supports for men and women coming out of drug and alcohol addiction.  Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and the second is to love your neighbour as yourself.  Loving your neighbour can be both challenging and incredibly rewarding when you see a life transformed by a touch from God. 

Ten Talents Ministry was planted when a friend of Harold and Diane’s, who was in recovery from drug addiction asked if he could get a ride to church.  When Harold and Diane showed up at the recovery centre there were eight others who wanted to come as well.  After experiencing the presence of God, the question was asked, “Does church only happen on Sundays?”  This prompted Harold and Diane to host an ongoing Alpha course. A weekly Bible study was added.  Some attendees asked how they could help those still trapped in addiction and a weekly street ministry night began.   When some of the attendees found themselves facing homelessness the search was on for a rental property.  The way the body of believers rallied to help create a home, providing everything from plates to pillows, was a real display of community and a ministry was born.
